Frequently Asked Questions

If you're new to Skin Enhance or have never had professional skin treatments before, we recommend booking our 1st Time Advanced Skin Consultation & Selective Treatment. This appointment includes a comprehensive consultation and an in-depth skin analysis using our Observe 520x Skin Scanner, allowing us to gain a complete understanding of your skin before selecting the most suitable treatment. You'll receive expert advice and, where appropriate, enjoy your first treatment on the same day.
If you're new to Skin Enhance but have had professional skin treatments elsewhere before so aren't in need of the skin scanner consultation, you can simply book our "Decide On The Day" appointment. This option gives you the flexibility to chat with your therapist during your appointment, assess your skin together, and choose the most suitable treatment on the day.
-
Don't worry—you don't need to know! Before every appointment, we assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and review any changes since your last visit. This ensures you're always receiving the most appropriate treatment for your skin on the day.
If you're already a Skin Enhance client but aren't sure what to book, simply choose our Therapist Choice Treatment option. Your therapist will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the treatment best suited to your skin's current needs before performing it during the same appointment.

We treat all skin types, skin tones and a wide range of skin concerns, including acne, pigmentation, congestion, scarring, rosacea, redness, dehydration, sensitivity, dullness and signs of ageing.
We also pride ourselves on being acne specialists, having helped hundreds of clients gain control of their acne and restore their confidence through personalised treatment plans, professional skincare and ongoing support. No matter where you are on your skin journey, we're here to help you achieve healthier, more confident skin.
-
The timeframe varies depending on your skin concerns, the treatment performed, and how consistently you follow your recommended home care routine. Some clients notice an improvement after just one treatment, while concerns such as acne, pigmentation and scarring typically require a series of treatments over several months to achieve the best results.
-
Absolutely! A single treatment can still give your skin a beautiful refresh and glow-up. Depending on the treatment selected, we can help to exfoliate away dead skin cells, improve hydration, and leave your skin feeling smoother, plumper and more radiant.
While a consistent treatment plan is recommended for targeting specific skin concerns and achieving long-term results, one treatment is a great way to give your skin some extra love, maintain its health, or prepare for a special event.
-
Every skin journey is different. While some concerns can improve with a single treatment, most skin goals are achieved through a personalised treatment plan. During your consultation, we'll recommend the number of treatments and timing needed to help you achieve the best possible results.
-
Treatment prices vary depending on the service and the level of customisation required. We'll always discuss pricing with you before your treatment, so you know exactly what to expect. We also offer flexible payment options, including weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment plans, to help make your skin journey more manageable.
-
Yes, we do! We can create a personalised treatment plan based on your skin concerns, goals and recommended treatments. Our treatment plans can be structured into simple weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments, spread over an agreed timeframe depending on your selected package.
We use a payment management platform called Aglow to help manage your payment schedule. Aglow is not a finance company or creditor — it simply helps us organise and manage your scheduled payments.
Please note:
A payment is required in clinic on the day your treatment plan begins before your payment schedule can commence.
Skincare products cannot be included in payment plans.
Payment plans are available for selected treatment packages only.
For more information, visit our Treatment Plans page or speak with our team, and we’ll help create a plan that works for your skin goals.

Yes! We offer a range of treatments that can be safely performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding. For pregnancy, we recommend waiting until after your first trimester before having treatments, as this is the most sensitive stage of development.
Some treatments are not suitable during pregnancy, including our Retinol Corrective Peel, BioRePeel, Hydrafacial and LED Light Therapy. Our Skin Needling treatments may be suitable during pregnancy, as we do not use numbing creams; however, all treatments must be discussed with your therapist beforehand.
While breastfeeding, most treatments can still be performed. The only treatment we cannot offer during this time is our Retinol Corrective Peel.
Please always let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive so we can tailor your treatment safely.
-
Possibly. If you are currently taking Roaccutane/Accutane, treatment options are limited due to increased skin sensitivity. The only treatment we may be able to perform while taking this medication is our gentle Pomegranate Corrective Peel, depending on your skin condition and suitability.
We require clients to be off Roaccutane/Accutane for a minimum of 3–6 months before receiving most advanced skin treatments. This timeframe depends on your dosage and will be discussed during your consultation.
-
For your safety and the safety of others, we are unable to perform skin or beauty treatments while you have an active cold sore.
If you are prone to cold sores, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider about taking an antiviral medication before your appointment to help prevent a flare-up.
-
Yes. If you’re feeling unwell, please contact us and we’ll happily reschedule your appointment.
This helps us maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety for our clients, therapists and clinic environment. We appreciate your understanding in helping us keep everyone safe.

We are located at 24 Oxford Street, Bulimba.
Our clinic is located inside the white house behind The Hair Collective. To find us, turn onto Quay Street — we are the first driveway on the right or the last driveway on the left if you are coming from Brisbane Street, marked by the red fence.
Once parked, walk through the staff carpark and head up the stairs. Our team will be there to welcome you and show you through to the clinic.

Yes, we have two customer parking spaces available. While these spaces are available for client use, they are not guaranteed to be vacant at every appointment.
If available, please park:
Behind the black Volkswagen, or
Under the carport behind the white Mitsubishi
If both spaces are taken, there is plenty of street parking available nearby, including at the end of Quay Street and Coutts Street.
If you arrive early, feel free to message the clinic and we can let you know when the previous client is leaving and when a parking space may become available.
